What is Lock n' Pop?

Limpets Lock n' Pop is a tried and tested pallet stabilisation system. It is water based, biodegradable liquid which when applied onto boxes or sacks whether fabricated out of paper, board or plastic will stabilise the load. Its high shear, low tensile properties enable it to out perform all other palletisation systems.

Main Benefits for users of Lock n' Pop

  • Reduced pallet stabilisation costs.

  • Low set up costs when compared to other stabilisation systems.

  • Will not deface or obscure packaging graphics.

  • Eliminates disposal costs for your customer.

  • Will not leave sticky residue.

  • Loads can be partially destacked without compromising the remaining load.

  • Environmentally friendly, totally water soluble and biodegradable so it will not harm you or the environment.

  • Works in extreme temperature conditions.

Who can use Lock n' Pop

Anyone who is currently palletising products. Lock n' Pop is available in several formulations to give optimum stabilisation to most substrates. Application of Lock n' Pop could not be simpler. Systems are available for manual or fully automatic application either on a production line or incorporated into palletisers.

Why should I use Lock n' Pop?

Over 200 million pallets have already been unitised without using stretchwrap. Limpets Lock n' Pop has redefined packaging and material handling without using wraps straps, hot glues, or cold adhesives.

Limpets Lock n' Pop locks packages tightly together preventing lateral movement of any kind. It is applied in liquid spray form, dries clear and is impervious to changes in temperature and climatic conditions.

Its exceptionally high shear and low tensile strength allows for packaging to be seperated by simply lifting vertically. The locked surfaces instantly "pop" apart with no damage to container surfaces or graphics and no visible residue. The integrity of the remaining palletised load is unaffected.

What does it cost?

Lock n' Pop normally costs less than other stretchwrap systems on the market today.

How do I apply Lock n' Pop?

Lock n' Pop can be applied by automated systems or by manual methods.

I do not pack in cardboard boxes... Can I still benefit from using Lock n' Pop?

Yes. Lock n' Pop is just as effective with many other types of traded units including, shrinkwrapped trays, cases, bags, sacks, and multipacks whether manufactured out of plastic, paper or cardboard. Our technical department will be happy to assist you in acquiring the correct formulation of Lock n' Pop for your specific needs.

My products are frozen... Can Lock n' Pop work at this extreme?

Various formulations have been developed to work within extremes of temperature from frozen cold stores to environments where humidity and temperature are considerably higher than normal.

For use down to -30 degrees C. Can be applied at temperatures down to -7 degrees C.
